We Think Naseem Can
Support "I Think I Can Cook" while helping homeless youth
Goal
I am going to cook a homemade meal for my friends and I once a week for eight weeks using a new recipe every time.
I chose this goal because
I recently moved to Philadelphia from the West Coast and for the first time in five years am getting by without a car. I love the luxury of a short commute to work on public transit, but by the time I get home from work, I have little motivation to get to the grocery store and cook for myself. Support me in my campaign to make a healthy home cooked meal once a week with a new recipe every week for my friends and I. I hope after eight weeks that not only will my cooking skills improve, but also that home-cooking will become a long-term habit so that I can rely less on restaurants.
I'm helping because
Every day ATC empowers marginalized youth to become healthier and happier, and to confront seemingly insurmountable roadblocks. ATC is a small, accessible organization, free of bureaucratic red tape and staffed by dedicated employees. I am honored to help!
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
