Goal

My Goal is to live 30 consecutive days with acts of kindness towards friends or strangers. I will keep you posted, it could be interesting...

I chose this goal because

Living in the city it is easy to just not notice the people around you as you go along worried about getting "your stuff" done. I am hoping this goal will remind me that we are all connected in important ways.

I'm helping because

I believe that At The Crossroads is really making a difference in the lives of the many homeless kids living on our streets, whether through counseling, a nighttime snack, or warm clothes. They are there to help and the kids know and trust them to do just that.

Each year I help collect rain gear and warm clothes at the SF Buddhist Center and donate these to At the Crossroads in time for the holidays. I watch ATC in action and they seem very hands on and helpful.

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.

Updates

This photo was given to me in kindness and I am passing it along to you. I have found that it is much easier than you might think to put yourself out there and connect in helping ways, but it is also very easy to forget.
