Goal

me + helmet + reflective vest = $ for a great cause

I will bike commute to work at least twice a week during the campaign (I think I can get in the habit, love it and do it for good!)

All money raised goes directly to At The Crossroads.

I chose this goal because

This is a win/win/win goal. Thats a triple win goal.

Win #3: a smaller butt footprint, or buttprint

Win #2: a smaller carbon footprint

Win #1: a bigger contribution to At The Crossroads

I'm helping because

Its tough out there and we all deserve a chance to lead a fulfilling life.

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.

Updates

Thanks for all of your generous contributions and support!

In the last two weeks or so, $410 has been raised for At The Crossroads and I've made the 7 mile round trip bike commute to work a total of 4 times!

Some of the dramatic highs and lows:

- Uphill ride home at night. The reflector vest won't be seen from the back if its under my messenger bag so I put it on over. It is constricting.

- Beautiful morning ride to work. I think, this is great, why do I ever drive?

- I accidentally make the left hand turn signal when I mean to make the right one. Luckily, no one is around to see.

- Make it home just before a torrential downpour starts.

Sure its no helmet cam, but those are just a few of the riveting details from this one small campaign for a good cause.

Although I'm going to keep on riding, unfortunately, this campaign is at its end. If you haven't already, please help push me over the line to meeting my goal of raising $500 for At The Crossroads!

Yeah!
