We Think Kimberly Can
Support Kimberly's Campaign while helping homeless youth
Goal
My goal is to re-enter my artistic life. Those who know me, also know that I used to paint, and had a goal of starting a t-shirt business with cool, race-related logos. Since becoming a mommy, which is absolutely my favorite and the most wonderful and fulfilling thing in the world, the art thing kind of dropped out of my life. Now that my babies are a little older, I am ready to reclaim it, starting now, but I need inspiration!
My general goal is to create 1 t-shirt design every 2 weeks.
If I raise more than $1,000 in the campaign, then I will commit to painting 1 painting by the end of the summer, too! (Doesn't sound that hard, but I haven't painted with anything other than watercolors in about 5 years.
I chose this goal because
I kind of explained why I chose this goal above, but basically, art has always been an important way to express myself and makes me feel empowered and generally good about myself. I also love how it makes people think. And when I get frustrated about work ( I am a teacher) or anything else in my life, or when I'm super happy or excited about something, drawing or painting lets me let it out!
I'm helping because
I went out on outreaches sometimes a long time ago and I think ATC is absolutley amazing and the work they are doing is outstanding. And I also love my buddy Rob a lot and want to help and support him.
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
