We Think Katie Can
Support Get a Life! Campaign while helping homeless youth
Goal
Ok, so I actually already have a pretty good life, but we can always do better, right? After all, its a new decade, and what better way to hold myself accountable to my 2010 priorities than by sharing them with my friends, family, and even random strangers!
2010 Priorities:
1. Reconnect with old friends / Make new ones
2. Say yes to opportunities
3. Date (Bonus points for good ones)
Doesn't seem so hard, does it? We'll see. I promise weekly updates on my new blog:
www.ithinkicangetalife.blogspot.com
so you can all keep up with my progress over the next 10 weeks.
What do I ask in return for making my private life public?
Moral support for me and financial support for At The Crossroads.
I chose this goal because
Its been a while since I actually spent time considering what would make me happy. And this will also help an organization that does amazing things for people who often have no voice. No time like the present.
I'm helping because
I first started volunteering for At The Crossroads through another volunteer organization. But once I heard about the mission of the organization, and the important work they do for young people living on the streets of San Francisco, I started volunteering for them directly. Even now, two years after leaving the city, i continue to donate money to their cause. So, when they asked me to help out in a more personal way this year, how could I say no? ATC is one of those rare organizations that help people without agenda or judgement, and their clients love them for it. Help me help them by donating today!
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
