Goal

Ok, so I actually already have a pretty good life, but we can always do better, right? After all, its a new decade, and what better way to hold myself accountable to my 2010 priorities than by sharing them with my friends, family, and even random strangers!

2010 Priorities:

1. Reconnect with old friends / Make new ones

2. Say yes to opportunities

3. Date (Bonus points for good ones)

Doesn't seem so hard, does it? We'll see. I promise weekly updates on my new blog:

www.ithinkicangetalife.blogspot.com

so you can all keep up with my progress over the next 10 weeks.

What do I ask in return for making my private life public?

Moral support for me and financial support for At The Crossroads.

I chose this goal because

Its been a while since I actually spent time considering what would make me happy. And this will also help an organization that does amazing things for people who often have no voice. No time like the present.

I'm helping because

I first started volunteering for At The Crossroads through another volunteer organization. But once I heard about the mission of the organization, and the important work they do for young people living on the streets of San Francisco, I started volunteering for them directly. Even now, two years after leaving the city, i continue to donate money to their cause. So, when they asked me to help out in a more personal way this year, how could I say no? ATC is one of those rare organizations that help people without agenda or judgement, and their clients love them for it. Help me help them by donating today!

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.

Updates

TWO WEEKS LEFT! Like all good things, this campain must eventually end. It's been an interesting experience, and has definitely shown me that I need to work harder on certain aspects of my life. But for now, the public discussion on this is wrapping up. This is your last chance to show me your support - at least financially - and help me reach my support goal for ATC.

IF YOU'VE BEEN WAITING TO DONATE, NOW IS THE TIME!

Okay, I'll admit it, I have sucked at making progress on my third priority. But we always knew that was going to be the hard one, right? I also just realized that with all the fun I have planned for my weekend in March, there is not much chance of moving forward till April.

To adjust for current realities, I am extending my campaign until the end of April, which shall be know as the Month of the Date. You have to wait for it, but I will work hard to make it worth it. In the meantime, a few donations to keep me motivated would be appreciated...

Thanks to everyone that has donated, and a special shout-out to Cousin Corey for the incredibly generous donation! I am speachless - you totally rock! And what kind of friend would I be if I let you out of our yearly cousin reunion? See you in May!

In other news, I've gotten feedback from some of you that you question my committment to my 3rd priority. And that donations will await results. I have heard your challenge, and will respond. Check out my blog: www.ithinkicangetalife.blogspot.com to see what I'm working on...
