Hi Julie, With a cute picture like that, how could I say no? Wish I could give more! And if you need someone to send a postcard to, I'd love to get one :-)

Julie, As far as I am concerned you are still the age of that picture! And I am trying to use my cell phone less, too, as Emma just got one yesterday(to coincide with her new braces). So I am inundated with dumb technology all the time and reduced to texting my children to get them to listen to me. Good luck. You can do it. Love.

I know you can do it! I especially love the "simplify" goal and will be working on that one too.

Goal

I Think I Can go back to the basics.

I Think I Can simplify life.

I Think I Can slow down the fast pace of technology.

I Think I Can turn off my computer earlier each day.

I Think I Can turn off my cell phone more often.

I Think I Can sketch in my sketchbook everyday.

I Think I Can send a postcard every week for a year.

Do you think I can?!

I chose this goal because

To me, the simple act of writing/sending a postcard slows down the pace of life and connects with friends/family in a way that email, text and even phone doesn't capture.

Who doesn’t love receiving a postcard?

And, I believe in Rob (Founder/Director of ATC) and all that ATC does for the SF community…a true inspiration to us all.

I'm helping because

I used to work with At The Crossroads on a more regular basis, but now since I’ve moved to Portland, OR, I don’t have the same opportunities to volunteer. Rob and his team at ATC gives homeless youth in SF the empowerment, support and utmost respect that they need to make positive changes in their own life.

Please help support me to turn of my computer, write/send a postcard (1/week for 1 year) and sketchbook (everyday) and empower the homeless youth in SF in the process!

About At The Crossroads

ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
