We Think Jennifer Can
Support Jen's Givin' Up Her Goodies Campaign while helping homeless youth
Goal
I want to raise $2,000 for At The Crossroads, and give up some of my goodies to say thank you for all of your help and support!
As a show of gratitude to all you generous, lovely donors:
When we reach $500, I will donate blood.
When we reach $1,000, I will donate at least two (big) bags of clothing to charity.
When we reach $1,500, I will donate a day of service.
When we reach $2,000, I will do something (charitable) of your choice.
(People can make suggestions throughout the campaign, and when we reach our goal, I will pick one of your suggestions as to the best way for me to give back and say thank you.)
I chose this goal because
Last year, 83 people contributed over $2,000 to my Hot Mess Campaign - a lot of people provided a ton of support to an amazing organization (and motivated me to get my ass to class)! This year, I want to show my gratitude to everyone who supports this nonprofit that I love, by giving of myself in some small way.
As a student, (without a J-O-B), I can't afford to give what I'd like to causes and organizations I believe in, but by participating in this campaign, I am able to introduce other people to the important work that ATC does and encourage them to donate whatever they can. Last year's campaign really showed that every bit matters, and we can all give a little sumthin' sumthin'.
I'm helping because
I love At The Crossroads. I love what they do, and how they do it. ATC provides young adults with a little bit of everything we all want and need. Their outreach counselors go on the streets and hand out everything from cotton swabs to clean socks to candy and sandwiches. And they provide their services with a policy of harm reduction, where success is not measured by absolutes, rather, it's about doing better and making progress (something I can personally appreciate). They help kids get jobs, and counseling, and homes, and provide them with the crucial support they need to better their lives.
But, they have been hit hard by all this economic business - and they have been forced to reduce salaries and remove a night of outreach. ATC and these young adults need our help more than ever - so let's do this!
Give what you can, 100% of the money you give goes to ATC, and towards helping them restore their imperative services! Plus, the more money raised, the more I give - so your donations help multiple causes! Thank you!

About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
