We Think Eljene Can
Support Elj's !@#$%^&* Campaign while helping homeless youth
Goal
Hola. Guess what, I have two goals!
1. I promised that I would stop verbally cussing. I might up the ante and stop cussing in emails and on paper, but you need to cough up more money for that. I'm testing myself. For every cuss word muttered, I would donate $1. In a matter of six city blocks, I cussed ten times. That's bleeping $10!
2. I've had this life long goal to get fit and stay fit. With that, I'm uping my game up to exercising from three times a week to four times a week! My word! Yes, that's 40 more minutes on the elliptical, 20 more minutes in the sauna, and 20 more minutes doing weights in ONE week. Don't you feel bad for me? Sad face. Turn my frown upside down and donate to a good cause.
I chose this goal because
I'm helping because
A few years back I walked through the doors of ATC greeted by Mr. Gitin, the top dog himself. He sat me down to pack condoms, lubricants, etc into a plastic bag. He offered me chocolates and fruit and played Pharcyde's Passin' Me By on the stereo. I was hooked ever since. Although those are good motivators for me, what really drove me to ATC was their passion for what they do. They don't only help the homeless youth build fulfulling lives, but they help folks like me find an outlet to fulfill.
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
