Who is Holidays for Homeless Youth
This is less of a "who" than a "what."
Every year, At The Crossroads throws two holiday parties for our youth. Last year, about 150 of our clients ate, drank (non-alcoholicly), and were very merry. These parties are an annual highlight for our clients, and for the whole organization.
Holidays for Homeless Youth is our team of fantastic holiday elves who will reach out to their communities, and raise support for these parties!
Goal
Our goal is to raise $12,000! This will allow us to purchase:
• 300 personalized gifts for our clients (including some who won't make it to the parties)
• Meals for the 180 young people who will be joining our 2011 Holiday Parties
• Hats, gloves, and movie tickets for all of the party-goers
IT'S SO EASY TO PARTICIPATE!!! Here's what you do:
1) Click on the "join this team" button below, and sign up. We'll set up your page for you!
2) Pick a total that you'd like to raise from your community
3) Get your friends and family to donate. All you need to do is send out two pre-written emails. Just copy, paste and send.
4) Watch your community donate, and feel good about the fact that you've made the holidays special for ATC's youth

When you are homeless and disconnected from your family, the holidays can be a very, very difficult time.
Our parties give our youth something to celebrate! They get a bunch of gifts (hats, gloves, movie tickets), including one special, personalized gift. This is often a gift card to their favorite store. They also get a hearty meal and delicious baked goodies. Most importantly, they get to spend time with people who care about them, the ATC staff. Our clients deeply appreciate these parties!
Another 100 clients don't make it to the parties, but we make sure to give them a gift too.
Your gift will help ensure that our clients get to celebrate the holiday season; everyone deserves this!
About At The Crossroads
ATC walks the streets of San Francisco, reaching out to homeless youth and young adults on their turf. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. Since we started 13 years ago, we have worked with more than 5,000 youth, helping them build outstanding lives.
